Book Time at Depth – The History of Diving Watches is a publication of over 230 pages, published in hardcover on high-quality coated paper, printed in color and accompanied by over 200 photos and illustrations.
The book's historical perspective spans the period from the mid-19th century, when the first successful waterproof designs were developed, to the present day, the second decade of the 21st century and the modern diver. In presenting this nearly 170-year history, I have attempted to describe all the significant processes that led to the creation of watches suitable for underwater use and their subsequent development. In total, over 100 different models from all major and cutting-edge manufacturers are discussed.
It is also the story of the people who were pioneers in this field and thanks to whom watchmaking entered previously inaccessible areas of our planet, hidden beneath the surface of the oceans.
I believe that the book that will soon be in your hands will be for many of you the beginning of your own explorations, an inspiration for creating a collection, or simply a pleasant "companion" for long evenings.
